Every year thousands of horses are shipped out of the United States and into Canada or Mexico to be brutally slaughtered, their meat shipped to other countries to be dined upon by humans. You have seen the images of the inherent cruelty in the slaughter pipeline, from the auction yard, the days on end packed into double decker trailers without food or water, finally to be brutally murdered. You have felt hopeless, wondering "What can I do to stop horse slaughter and save lives?"
Horses typically enter the slaughter pipeline at livestock auctions such as Roseville Livestock Auction (featured in video, now closed.) Horses at livestock auctions are never safe, if the price goes low enough, a killer buyer just nods and the horse is sent out, into his trailer, and off to slaughter.
You can put an end to this! You can help pay the pardon to keep a horse from being slaughtered! Every year we rescue hundreds of horses from the slaughter pipeline at livestock auctions. We are the nations leader in livestock auction rescue, but we can't continue our work without your help. We rely on donations from people like you to rescue horses before they enter the slaughter pipeline Your donation is the donation of life.
Every month we raise funds to rescue and care for horses that are in danger of being shipped for slaughter at livestock auctions. The majority of the horses that we rescue find wonderful, loving forever homes. Sadly, some horses are too far gone from injuries, physical and emotional abuse, and other factors, that the only thing we can do is say "Goodbye, we love you!" We are relieved to know that they never suffer the horrors of the slaughter pipeline.
Please join us in our mission of mercy, the horses are counting on you.
The next auction rescue is: March 17, 2012.
Please help pardon a horse from being slaughtered, donate now!
